Amos Chrisman, also listed as Ames Christman in State records, was born in 1898 in Dandridge, Tennessee. He was a farmer before his induction into military service on 15 July 1918 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. He died in 1918 of pneumonia.
He was the husband of Lillie Edmonds.
Amos Chrisman is the father of Alfred Charles Chrisman. Alfred is the father of Jay Chrisman Sr., my grandfather. Amos has been important to learn about since I now have 2 sons of my own. His information got a little lost down the line since Lillie Edmonds had remarried later and took on another family. Alfred (Amos’ son) went on to marry Dorothy Bright, who passed when she was young, after having my grandpa Jay Chrisman and his sister Linda.
