“Arthur Loyal Golliher Killed in Action on Leyte. Pfc. Arthur L. Golliher, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Golliher, of Rockwood, route 1, was killed in action on December 15, 1944, in the Philippine Islands, according to word received from the War Department. He was 24 years of age and had been in service since November 17, 1942. He took his training in Camp Walters, Texas. He had been overseas since April 26, 1944. He is survived by 7 sisters and three brothers.”
