Claude Taylor Panter was born at Calbertson, North Carolina on 16 March 1924, the son of Elisha Taylor Panter and Gertrude Bell Paynter. Husband of Marie Reathel “Rethal” Curtis. He served in the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Division in the European theater and died on 10 August 1944.
