Clinton Fiske Delius was born in Harriman, Tennessee to Harry M. and Mattie Delius. He entered the service at Chattanooga, TN in May 1917 and trained at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia.

He died from wounds received in battle at St. Mihiel 3 October 1918 at the age of 22, and is buried plot B, row 14, grave 13, at Suresnes American Cemetery, Suresnes, France.
