Earl Raymond Ford was the son of Luther Denton Ford and Estella Smith.

He was serving Hwith a naval construction battalion in the Pacific. He was killed in Athens, Tennessee while visiting home on leave.

His brothers, Robert Denton Ford and Kenneth Leslie Ford were also serving during World War II.
