Estel William Loop, also spelled Estell Loope in State records, was born in 1896 at New Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee, son of Vester Loop. He was inducted into military service on 5 September 1918 at Camp Wadswordt, Spartinburg, South Carolina. He died of lobar pneumonia on 14 October 1918.
