Everett Whit Pierce was born on 7 June 1917 in Speedwell, Tennessee. He was the son of Christopher Columbus Pierce and Ida Smith. He married Zelma Wilson in 1940 and they were the parents of Shirley and Evert Pierce.
He was Killed in Action 18 December 1944

LaFollette, May 30, Pvt. E. Pierce was killed in action in Belgium, last Dec. 18, according to a War Department message received by his parents. Private Pierce was the son of Mrs. Ida Pierce of Monroe, Mich. and Lum Pierce of LaFolette. His wife and two children, Shirley and Evert, are making their home here.
