George Andrew King was the son of John Wiley King and Nancy Elizabeth “Lizzie” Cameron. He was married to Chelsia Pearlena Lawson and father of Florence King, Mary E. King, Joseph Henry King and Shirrl Andrew King.
He was wounded and out of action for six weeks. He received his first Purple Heart for being wounded. He went back into action on December 26, 1944 and was killed on January 8, 1945, he recieved his second Purple Heart. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg, H, 5, 37
