George Newton McCuiston was the son of George Newton McCuiston Sr. and Tilda Carolina Yother. He was married to Josephine

Killed March 3, 1945 in Germany. Was coming home the next day. He was a tank commander. He volunteered to take a portal out and was killed by machine gun fire through the chest by a sniper.

Cpl. George N. McCuiston, husband of Mrs. Josephine McCuiston and son of Mrs. Caroline McCuiston of Graysville, Tenn., was killed in action March 3 in Germany, the War Department notified his wife. He attended schools in Dayton, Tenn., before enlisting for duty with the Sixth Cavalry at Fort Oglethorpe. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Freddie Joselyn, 2½, and his mother. His wife and child reside with her parents in Graysville.
