Private First Class Hubert F. Padgett was born on 9 February 1912. He was the son of Sherman Nathaniel Padgett and Mary Myrtle Shadden.
He enlisted 10 September 1942 at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia and served with the 473rd Infantry Regiment, 82nd Infantry Division, Company B.
He was killed near Massa Carrara, Italy on 13 April 1945.
