Staff Sgt. James Orville Ellison, son of Mrs. Hattie Green, 1411 Western Avenue, was killed in France July 14, according to a War Department telegram received by his wife, Mrs. Reba Ellison, of Augusta, Sgt. Ellison, employed by a lumber firm here before he entered the service, had been overseas six months. He leaves his wife, his mother, sisters, Mrs. Ida Burkett, 1411 Western Avenue; Mrs. Lela Hurst, Maryville, and half-sisters, Velva and Daisy Green, of Knoxville, and three brothers, William in the United States Navy, Curtis, in the Air Corps, and Paul, who leaves next Tuesday for the service.
