James Franklin Lowery Jr. was the son of James Franklin Lowery Sr. and Pauline Ruth Thompson.
He served on the U.S.S. Maryland and the U.S.S. Mississippi. He was transferred to the U.S. Naval Hospital at Pearl Harbor, T.H. for treatment on 10 April 1943. He died at Riverside, California.
He is buried at Crestview Cemetery, Knoxville, TN
