James Reuben Geisler was born in Milligan, Tennessee. He died at the age of 20 from non-battle wounds (pneumonia) and is buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton, TN.
He was the son of William Daniel Geisler and Mary Susannah Simerly.
