John Austin “Johnnie” Linerwas the son of Colonel Adolphus “Dolph” Liner and Willie Bell Rowland. He had been in the Army since 23 February 1942 and overseas since October, 1943.
Pfc. Liner was killed in action in France. He was initially buried at Andilly Cemetery at Lay St. Rémy, France and reburied at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France, B, 23, 21
