John Henry West was born 2 November 1921, Oneida, Scott County, Tennessee. John West was the son of Silas West and Elizabeth Thomas West Davidson, the grandson of John Henry Thomas and Minda Thomas. He was born and raised in Oneida, Tennessee. He was married to Blanche Robinson.
He Died of Wounds 7 April 1945 in Germany.
He is buried next to his mother and brother, Dewitt West, in Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery, Oneida, Scott County, Tennessee.
