Lawrence Miller was born 11 February 1914, the son of James Miller and Lorinda Nelson. Twin-brother of Florence (Miller) Clark.
He had been in the army for seven years, joining the army in 1936, but had been overseas less than three months. He was wounded in action on 3 November 1944 and died of wounds November 10.
He is buried at Spring City Cemetery, Spring City, TN

Funeral services for T/5 Lawrence Miller, son of Jim Miller of Spring City, who was killed Nov. 10, 1944 in Vineville, France, will be held at the Church of Christ, Spring City. Burial will be in the Spring City Cemetery with full military honors by veterans of World Wars I and II. Besides his father, other survivors include one son, Lawrence Miller Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Clark and Mrs. Frank Dunlap of Spring City and Mrs. Olaf Hope of Batabka, Ohio.
