Cpl. Lee R. Cole, 22, killed in action in Korea April 9, 1953. Corporal Cole attended Pi Beta Phi High School before entering service, Dec. 18, 1951. He served with the Marine Corps Fist Division, and had been in Korea since August 1952. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Cole, one brother, Jay, two sisters, Jackie Faye and Peggie Lou, grandparents, Mrs. S.W. Cole and Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Trentham, all of Gatlinburg.
