Leonard Hayes Mantooth Jr. was the son of Leonard H. and Loraine P. Mantooth. He was killed in action when the helicopter he was riding in was shot down over South Vietnam. He was a helicopter gunner.
S4 Mantooth was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School. He entered the service soon after graduation and was shipped overseas in March 1971.
