Luther Reese was born 21 February 1893, Bybee, Tennessee. Pvt Reese was inducted into military service on 5 September 1918 at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, South Carolina. He died of Empyema at Brest in France.
He is buried at Glendale United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bybee, Cocke County, Tennessee.
