Paul K. Beck was born in 1921 in Tennessee. He was married to Shirley Beck and had a 3-week old daughter, Paula Irene Beck. Son of Ellis King Beck and Nancy Elizabeth Jarrard. He had two sisters. Pvt. Beck was killed in Brest, France.

Paul K. Beck is one of the US soldiers who died during the liberation of Plougastel-Daoulas,the commune of my family.
The liberation of the “Daoulas peninsula “, as called by the US army, was the first step of the battle for Brest.
He died on the 25th of August 1944, in or close to the Runavot hamlet.
It was the first of the three days fight for Hill 63.
