Riley Lee Sutton was born on 22 June 1917, the youngest son of George W. Sutton and Annie Owens Sutton He was killed in action during WWII in Italy on 24 November 1943. He was survived by his parents and one brother, Lon L. Sutton. He was a grandson of John Thomas Owens and Elizabeth Lanham Owens. He was a GGG-grandson of Abel Lanham (buried at the nearby Lambert Cemetery), a Revoluntary War Soldier.
Riley Sutton is buried at England Cemetery, Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee.
