Robert Leavell Hall was born in Columbia, Mississippi to Robert Leavell Hall and Babington Lucretia Lampton.

Private First Class Robert Leavell Hall was the son of Robert BLeavell Hall Sr. and Babington Lucretia Lampton. He was killed in action in Germany. He is buried in Tennessee.

The message to Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Hall said their son was killed in action Dec. 6. Pfc. Robert L. Hall Jr. had been in the service since September, 1942, and had been overseas fora bout three months, being attached to an anti-tank company. After his graduation from Baylor School in 1944, he entered the University of Chattanooga, where he continued for a year before entering the University of Tennessee. He volunteered for army service a short time after entering there. He received his basic training at Camp McClellan in Alabama. His father is president of the St. Elmo Bank and Trust Company. His two sisters are Mrs. Lynn Deakins and Miss Ann Hall, the latter a student at Gulf Park College.
