Thomas Spencer Morie was born on 23 August 1917 in Tennessee, the son of Charles Alfred Morie and Martha Elizabeth Henderson. Husband of Georgia Victoria Wells and father of Gary Lynn Morie and Vicki Morie.
He died 20 February 1945 in Germany

PFC Thomas S. Morie, 27, of Dandridge, was killed in action Feb. 20, 1945 in Germany while serving with the 376th Infantry, 94th Division, Third Army. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Georgia V. Wells Morie; one daughter, Vickie, age 4; parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Morie, Knoxville; three sisters, Miss Jessie Morie, Mrs. George Bryan, both of Knoxville, Mrs. Dan Kimbrough, Elwood, Ind.; three brothers, Lum and George, Knoxville; Arthur Dandridge. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.
