Miss Rosemary King was notified this morning that her brother, Pfc. Wiley Gwin King Jr., had been killed in action in Italy. He was serving with the 10th Mt. Army Division (Infantry)  and when last heard from about four weeks ago, was stationed at Milan. He went into the service June 5, 1944, and was sent overseas in October. He took his basic training at Camp Blanding, Fla. He formerly lived in Forsyth and Griffin, but at the time of his induction he was employed by McClung’s, Knoxville, Tenn., and he and Mrs. King were living there. His brother, Lt. Besides his sister, Miss Rosemary King, he is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Ermyne Willis of Macon and Forsyth, now living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Willis of Johnson City, Tenn., his father, Gwin King Sr., of Griffin, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Goggans of Forsyth.
