William Camel Looney was born in Tennessee in 1922, the son of Alonzo (Onzie) Looney and Mary Elizabeth Hensley.
William C. Looney served at USNTS, San Diego, California for assignment by CDBF. He was transferred on 4 February 1942 to the U.S.S. Jarvis (DD-393) for Duty.
