William Lenoir Kizer was the son of Rodolphus Hezekiah Kiser and Lucy Alice Lenoir. He married Edith Lynn Gilmer in 1919. The couple had three daughters.
Kizer was shipped aboard the tanker David McKelvey. While in transit in the Gulf of Mexico, the ship was torpedoed and was a total loss. KIA Crew 16, AG 1.
William Kizer was lost at sea. He is memorialized at Westview Cemetery, Sweetwater, TN.
