Pfc. Winfred Dexter Cate, of New Market. Memorial services will be held at Dumplin Baptist Church, Sunday Aug. 19, at 2:30 p.m. Private Cate was killed in action on Okinawa Island, April 29, 1945. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. will Cate; three brothers, Mayford, Olif, and Bobby Joe, all of New Market; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Cate and Miss Wilma Cate of New Market, and Mrs Tinsley Pate, Knoxville.
